Monthly Programs

Reading to your child has immeasurable benefits from developing a love of literature, early language skills, parent/child bonding, and paving the way to success in school. Read books from our library and when you return them, just let us know the number you have read to your child and we will keep a running tally. If you establish a habit of reading daily, it won’t be long before you will have read 1,000 books! Your child will receive a beautiful certificate and book bag for completing this journey with you!

Books and Brownies - First Wednesday of the month from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Join us on the first Wednesday evening of the month for book sharing and brownies! Bring in a book that you check out from the library and share the story (but NOT the ending) with other kids. It is a great way to find a new author, start a new series, and just have fun talking about great books. Open to all readers! REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Flannel Board Fridays - First Friday of each month from at 11 a.m.

Join us for flannel board stories on the first Friday of each month. We will have stories told with flannel pieces. It’s a story, it’s interactive and it’s fun!

Parent Connection - First Friday of the month from 9:30 - 11 a.m. beginning in October

This is a monthly parent/care giver group that helps to support child rearing issues. The children will play in the Early Learning Center with an adult sitter who will provide playtime fun, music, and a snack for them while you relax with other adults for 1 ½ hours discussing the vast subject of parenting! Every other month, a guest speaker will be invited to this group to speak on parenting issues that the group has expressed a special interest in. It is free and sponsored by the Coordinated Family & Community Engagement grant. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
