Reading to your child has immeasurable benefits from developing a love of literature, early language skills, parent/child bonding, and paving the way to success in school. Read books from our library and when you return them, just let us know the number you have read to your child and we will keep a running tally. If you establish a habit of reading daily, it won’t be long before you will have read 1,000 books! Your child will receive a beautiful certificate and book bag for completing this journey with you!
Reading and Bead Program
The Reading Patch Program has been replaced by the Read and Bead Program. Patrons will receive a necklace and can earn various types of beads depending on the level of the books and the number of books read.
