This class is open to all individuals wishing to develop inner awareness, health, and well-being. The practice will include techniques to improve concentration, clarity of mind, relaxation, and promote self-awareness. Bring your yoga mat or sitting cushion and a receptive attitude. Nonfiction Book Discussion Group - In Person or Virtual

Join us to discuss Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah. Copies of the books will be available one month prior to the meeting date. Haiku-Kai - Virtual
Wednesday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m.
Join local author Loree Griffin Burns on Zoom for a Haiku-kai! Participants will be invited to share their best haikus at a friendly and fun Haiku-kai. At each event, the group leader will anonymously read each person's work. To register, please email jwright@cwmars.org. If you plan to participate in this program, please submit up to 5 of your best haikus to jwright@cwmars.org no later then October 12. Annual Friends Meeting Event with Dave Small - Virtual

Join Dave Small, President of the Athol Bird and Nature Club and current Director of the Millers River Environmental Center, for the presentation Bats in Massachusetts. Dave will discuss various native bat species in Massachusetts, feeding behavior, migration, status of White-nose syndrome, and how you can help these nocturnal insect predators.
