Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, all non-essential Town buildings, including the Library, remain closed to the public as of March 17th. Library staff are on site to perform essential functions, and are working remotely at all other times. We are eager to help you to the best of our abilities while the Library is physically closed to the public. Please note the following answers to some frequently asked questions you may have about the Library and library services while we are closed to the public:

  • Can I still get help with library-related questions?

Yes! Send us an email at beaman@cwmars.org or call the library at 508-835-3711 x222 to leave a message and someone will get back to you. Be sure to leave us your contact information and let us know the best times to reach you.

  • What if I want to use the online resources available through the Library's website, but I don't have my card or I forgot my pin?

Send us an email or call 508-835-3711 x222! We can reset your pin and give you your card number over the phone. We'll just verify some basic information to ensure privacy.

  • What if I want to use the online resources available through the Library's website, but I don't have a library card?

Give us a call at 508-835-3711x222! We will create a temporary card over the phone and give you the information so that you can use all of our digital resources. When the library opens to the public again, just stop by with your photo ID to pick up your physical library card!

  • What should I do with the library books and materials I have at home?

Please keep all library materials that have been checked out to you and your family until further notice. We are not accepting any returns until state and local officials, including local health officials, advise us we can reopen the drop boxes and begin accepting returns again. We will announce this information well in advance when we have more information.

  • What about overdue fines and fees?

All library items that were due 7/1/2020 or later are now due July 1st system-wide, including those items from West Boylston. Please note, this due date may be extended. Any fines accrued on West Boylston items during this closure time will be waived. Please contact us if you have any questions.

While our doors are closed to the public due to the pandemic, you can still check out books, magazines, and films through the library's website beamanlibrary.org

Read or listen to library books and magazines on your computer, Kindle, smartphone or iPad using Libby or Overdrive.
